How can i charge mp3player when laptop is turned off or standby?

I want to charge my mp3player when my laptop is on sleep mode or turned off. how can i do that?
My laptop is Dell inspiron 1520 and my O/S is Vista…please help me find a solution…thank you.

The only way you can charge your mp3 player is to have the laptop running. When the laptop is off/standby, there is no power flowing through the unit properly to charge any rechargeable device. It doesn’t matter if you have a laptop or desktop, the computer MUST be turned on to charge an external device.

The only other thing is a wall charger for the mp3 player.
