Is the Wifi feature on mp4 players useful?

I would imagine its only useful in a wifi area such as school/home/public area (free access of course)
if your not regularly in these areas, is there any need in a wifi feature if like 90% of the time you will be using it at home?

have an ipod touch and its wifi is great cos of safari i can browse normal websites, stream video and tv and also download apps from the store. When im at someones house i check my emails on my ipod so
i dont have to rudely use there pc or worry about loggin out etc in there pc. Its just so much quicker to chek something lyk directions to a place rather than turning on the pc and doing it,plus u can leave the page up and use them on the go rather than having to print them out
