mp3player radio

how can i use my MP3 player in my car?
hi, within my car i have a cd player and a radio….i have nothing to support a mp3player but i am wondering how much will it cost me to get one inserted and who can do this. the sterio i have came standerd with the car.
For about $25 at Radioshack you can get an FM transmitter. If possible try to get one that can tune to a few different frequencies. The sound quality will vary based on how crowded your town is with radio stations and if you can tune to a clear one. Be sure to get one that can plug in to your cars cigarette lighter.

Radio on
$10.66 The principle for this book is simple: for a year the radio becomes the conduit for a young woman's diary. It shows itself to be a kind of conscience wallpaper, a nervous background noise. With a radio in every home, car, office building, mall space and waiting room, we are surrounded by its many voices, Radio On examines these voices, making them truly audible, clarifying and refining until we truly understand that democracy is alive and well in America--at least on the radio. |

Radio
$46.95 This book chronicles the history of radio as technology and as media. Radio grew from a clumsy, temperamental form of wireless telegraph to a system that is so ubiquitous and easy to use that it has disappeared to users as a technology and became part of the fabric of human existence. This biography charts the growth of the technical end of radio, starting with the history of electricity, and moving through the invention of vacuum tubes, the heterodyne, FM, transistors, and microchips. But the history of radio is not just wires and electricity--it's the story of strange characters, deep thinkers, visionary mystics, hyperactive minds, ambitious souls, power hungry demagogues, and utopian humanists; all of whom strove to make radio into what they thought it should be. |

Radio
$15.98 Intended to be an evaluative survey of bibliographical material on the history and development of radio and radio programming in America, this guide identifies and discusses more than 500 written sources relating to radio music, drama, comedy and variety, news, sports and more. An introductory chapter thoroughly analyzes the historical development of the medium--from its inception during the "pioneer" era, to the network era (radio's "Golden Age"), to the decline of radio in the 1950s, and finally to the radio renaissance--based largely, on "narrowcasting"--that began in the 1960s and continues to the present. Greenfield also examines the formation of the FCC, focuses on radio's losing battle with television--the main reason for its decline beginning in 1949--and provides a cogent analysis of the creative thinking underlying not only the concept of today's narrowcasting, but of the current ascendency of the local station as well. Also addresses are the Press/Radio war of the 1930s, the rise of radio drama, and the enormous influence of rock and roll music on the evolution of radio programming after World War II. A chapter is devoted to networks and station histories and another to issues such as women in radio, advertising, religious broadcasting, and armed forces radio. A list of selected archival collections, radio organizations and associations, and an index complete the volume. Primarily designed for students, scholars, and researchers in the fields of broadcasting and popular culture, this reference deserves a place in university libraries but also has a wealth of information of interest to radio and television professionals. And, because its resources include popular and fan materials as well as standard academic and professional publications, Radio: A Reference Guide provides an insightful overview for any informed generalist with an interest in this important facet of American popular culture. |

Radio
$11.36 Set in South Carolina and spanning almost 40 years time beginning in the 1960s, RADIO is the moving story of the friendship between a mentally disabled man (played by Cuba Gooding Jr. in adulthood) and the high school football coach (Ed Harris) who gives him guidance, hope, and confidence. Growing up in the all-American small town of Anderson, South Carolina, "Radio" is a social outcast who lives a lonely, childish existence. He's obsessed with his transistor radio and wanders the streets with a shopping cart full of collected junk. Because of his mental disability, Radio is misunderstood by the local townspeople and is often the victim of mean-spirited pranks. After the local high school football team plays a particularly cruel prank on the naive young man, the team coach decides to mentor Radio. Coach Jones staunchly supports Radio and their bond becomes unbreakable. A devoted football fan, Radio blossoms under the unwavering encouragement of the Coach and becomes the team's unofficial mascot and cheerleader. Ultimately the town is united by Radio's innocence and basic human goodness in this warmhearted drama inspired by a true story. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only.
