Are mp3 player adapters any good in your car?

I just replaced my car with a 1992 Chevy Lumina and it doesn’t have a tape deck or cd player of any kind. Just am/fm radio. I’ve also never purchased an iPod/mp3 player. Is the quality for the radio adapter(preferably the non lighter adapters) any good in the car?

I don’t know if you’re referring to the ones that act like little transmitters or the ones that plug in line with your antenna and to the back of the radio. The in line ones work fairly well but will require you go do a little bit of wiring. I’d personally recommend avoiding the little transmitters. The sound quality will only be as good as your fm tuner typically provides on a strong station, not like adding a CD player. Since you stated you only have an am/fm head unit I’ll assume your speakers are stock. With a set-up like that you are unlikely to notice the difference in sound quality.
